PACIFIC COAST NICKEL LOOKS TO SOUTH AMERICA

Vancouver, BC, May 29, 2008- Pacific Coast Nickel Corp. (TSX-V: NKL) is pleased to announce that it has initiated a program to acquire prospective nickel properties in South America.

The Company has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary in South America, in order to continue its review of several properties with demonstrated nickel potential. This program will likely involve approximately $100,000 of expenditures from the current date until the end of the calendar year.

Michael Sweatman, president stated “We are excited by the potential to acquire interesting nickel projects and this will provide an opportunity to do work during the South American summer as an offset to Canadian winters. High-quality nickel properties are rare and we are expanding our search to South America in an effort to diversify and enhance our portfolio.”

The first phase in the program will consist of reviews of existing data and initial site visits by Pacific Nickel’s geological consultants based in the area. The Company’s goal is to acquire several properties as a result of this work.
