PACIFIC COAST NICKEL COMMENCES DRILLING AT BIG NIC

Vancouver, BC, June24th, 2008- Pacific Coast Nickel Corp. (TSX-V: NKL) is pleased to announce that it has commenced drilling at Big Nic.

The company announced that drilling has commenced at the Big Nic project. The first holes drilled will be on the SPX anomaly that was identified by prospecting and refined by the geophysical work carried out over the past two years. SPX is located north east of the area drilled last year. Core will be transported to our base in Hope where it will be split and sent for assay. As has been the case lately we expect that it will be sometime before assays are received.

Once drilling is completed at SPX the drill will be moved to the Mount Parker area of the property.

The 2008 drill program will focus on targets identified during April 2008, the Company program of ground geophysics. These targets were developed on the Big Nic property as a follow-up on a number of targets that were identified through reprocessing of previous airborne geophysical data and previous geological mapping and sampling.

Michael Sweatman, president stated "We are happy to be back on the property; looking for the sources of sulphide mineralization that we have encountered on the property. Nickel is a difficult mineral to find and we are focused on two properties adjacent to prolific nickel deposits both at Big Nic and at Burwash in the Yukon Territory"

The technical aspects of the work at Big Nic are being overseen by Apex Geoscience Ltd. of Edmonton Alberta in addition our technical advisor Bob Brodzowski will be reviewing data as it becomes available.

The Company expects that Strategic Minerals (TSX-V SMD) will start drilling at the Burwash property later this summer, work there will be carried out by Archer Cathro.
