PACIFIC COAST NICKEL COMMENCES DRILLING AT BIG NIC Vancouver, BC, July 7, 2008- Pacific Coast Nickel Corp. (the “Company”) (TSX-V:NKL) is pleased to announce that it is mobilizing in preparation for drilling at it Burwash Yukon Property. Burwash Yukon The Company has been informed by the operator of the Burwash, Yukon Project that the drill and support equipment has been contracted and will be moved to the property upon completion of another job. It is expected that drilling will commence in as soon as 15 days. This program will test a number of prospective locations on the property. Big Nic The Company is also pleased to report that the current round of drilling is completed on the Big Nic property at the SPX location; 4 holes were completed at SPX. We are currently drilling on the Mount McNair area of the property. Initial core from the drilling have been split and sent to ALS-Chemex in North Vancouver. The 2008 Big Nic drill program is focusing on targets identified during April 2008 and June 2008, program of ground geophysics. These targets were developed on the Big Nic property as a follow-up on a number of targets that were identified through reprocessing of previous airborne geophysical data and previous geological mapping and sampling. Michael Sweatman, president stated “We are very happy to be actively exploring 2 major properties both of which are adjacent to former producers.” The technical aspects of the work at Burwash are being overseen by Strategic Metals and their contractor Archer, Cathro & Associates (1981) Limited; Apex Geoscience Ltd. of Edmonton, Alberta is in charge of the technical aspects of the Big Nic program, in addition our technical advisor Bob Brodzowski will be reviewing data as it becomes available.
